this song was written during a weird inspiration fueled all nighter which involved me yelling the melody to myself in my room before bolting out to the studio to actually write it. The song itself took twenty minutes to write, including lyrics, but took another year to actually get ready to perform. It was first performed at a sketchy fair for about five people and focuses on the discontent in family life, a theme I now use almost exclusively.

Dedicated to my second cousin Aubergine, a girl I developed an instant fondness for due to the intelligence in her eyes and mischief in her smile. I originally wrote as kind of a way to connect with her due to the distance between our homes but it quickly evolved into a cautionary tale of growing up and the tragedy that is bullying. I hope she finds the advice in the song helpful.
