At the age of twelve,
I held hands for
The very, first time.
With a boy.
And he said to me,
Does this make us, the tiniest
Bit strange?
At the age of nine,
My parents gave me, some very
Important news.
It’s okay to love, everyone,
Just never let them know
That you do.
So as I grew up,
With my mind full of
Preinstalled fears,
Hopelessness and doubt.
I continued to move, on with myself
And never gave, life a second thought.
And, happy thoughts
Dance around.
My broken head,
And I find that numbers,
Go and dance to the light.
And, do you, even understand
Those, languages that you just cannot
Comprehend, but, I don’t think there’s such a thing
As wrong or a right.
So as I grew up
And went to different, places that all
Seemed to become red.
Imagine my, surprise at the fact that,
There was nobody who gave me a second look
So as I moved around,
From person to person and
Dwelled within their own,
Self-made dreams.
I found that it,
Was rather hard, to move onto
A new point of view.
And, happy thoughts
Dance around.
My broken head,
And I find that numbers,
Go and dance to the light.
And, do you, even understand
Those, languages that you just cannot
Comprehend, but, I don’t think there’s such a thing
As wrong or a right.
